lyrics

Jonas and Teddy
Lived in their room
They talked about traveling
To visit the moon

So Ted built a rocket
For Jonas to fly
They packed up some snacks
And waved Earth goodbye

They flew past the city
Away from the cars
They flew past the mountains
And into the stars

And Teddy said “Jonas,
I think that’s the moon.”
And Jonas said “Teddy,
It’s just a balloon

The rocket flew faster,
With miles to go
239,00
Or so.

The wait took forever,
So Ted took a nap
Jonas drove on
With his his galaxy map

Jonas said “Brother,
I think we’ve arrived.
Unbuckle your seatbelt
and let’s go outside.”

Teddy said “Jonas,
You almost forgot
To put on your helmet
Like a good astronaut.”

They opened the door
And jumped out of the ship
They flew through the air and
They tumbled and flipped

They bounced over craters
And played in moon dirt
When suddenly Jonas said
“Look Ted, there’s Earth.”

They looked to the sky
And what did they see?
A giant blue ball
Full of air, land, and seas.

Teddy said “Jonas,
I miss Mom and Dad.”
If they knew where we were,
Do you think they;d be mad?”

Jonas said “Teddy,
It’s time to go soon."
They climbed in the rocket
Said goodbye to the moon.

Jonas and Teddy
Climbed back into bed
“We have to be up in an hour.”
Ted said.

Jonas said” Teddy,
Next time we’ll see Mars
And brother, I love you,
From here to the stars."
